Welcome back to the era of digital chaos! If you remember the original Audio Disc from 2009, that legendary ping pong game made in Adobe Flash, then get ready because we have officially remade it with a heavy touch of Python, fireballs, and a questionable amount of mayonnaise. Introducing Audio Disc Reloaded: The Mayo Edition. This is a game for people who value their hearing more than their eyesight and have a very specific, unhealthy relationship with condiments.

Please note that this game is built for the modern age and requires Windows 10 or higher to run.

The gameplay is a pure test of your imminent demise. On your turn, you prepare your throw and hurl the ball in one of three directions: Up, Down, or Forward. Your opponent has to listen closely to the sound of the ball flying toward them and align their paddle to match. If they catch it, they survive to throw it back. If they miss, the game will mock them mercilessly while they lose a point. You only have three paddle zones to manage, so if the ball is screaming toward the ceiling and your paddle is sitting in the middle ground, prepare to be disappointed.

The controls are split for local multiplayer mayhem. Player 1 uses the Arrow Keys for Up, Down, and Forward, the Right Arrow to prepare the ball, and the Spacebar to unleash fiery death. Player 2 uses the classic W, S, A, and D keys. W and S move the paddle, D throws forward, and A prepares the ball. The Left Ctrl key is your trigger for the fireball. If things get too fast and the ball sounds like it is traveling at Mach 5, you can hold Shift to enter Slow Motion, giving you a few precious seconds of Matrix style reaction time.

Let’s talk about the Fireball and why using it might make you a terrible person. Every time you catch a ball, there is a 40% chance you will earn a fireball, announced with great fanfare. If you activate it and hit your opponent directly, they get blown up. They lose a point, and you steal it. However, if your opponent is smart and intentionally dodges the fireball by moving their paddle out of the way, they are rewarded for their cowardice by stealing a point from you instead. If you spam fireballs like a brainless potato, you will end up with zero points.
This game is designed to be inclusive, meaning sighted people can play right alongside everyone else. It is a fantastic way to challenge your family and friends to see who actually has the best ears in the house.
